Dennis Berck is originally from Nebraska. He presently calls Eugene, Oregon, his home. Dennis is a veteran of the Knott Brothers, The Berck-Pearce Band, and McKenzie Crossing. Dennis aptly sings tenor, high baritone, and lead in the ensemble. Dennis' strong rhythm guitar and superb singing abilities are an integral part of this band's unique sound. When Dennis isn't picking and grinning, he operates his own business repairing fretted instruments.
Mike Bray presently is living in Eugene. He toured the road as a bass player with Warner recording artist "Alexis" for a year and played for a number of years with a local Eugene, OR, country band called "Bump in the Road." Mike keeps a steady beat for the band with his rock solid bass playing. Mike is the gracious host at one of Eugene's local sports bars when he's not out performing with the band. Mike can generally be seen playing at the weekly bluegrass jam every Tuesday night at Sam Bond's Garage.
Gary Dunbar is from Central Michigan. He is an undergraduate student in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Oregon. Gary, who also performed in "McKenzie Crossing," is a multi-instrumentalist and a fine lead guitar player. Gary sings lead, tenor, and baritone. Gary took FIRST place in a flat-picking contest at the Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival in Cashmere, WA, in 2006, out-performing over 75 contestants. Gary can generally be seen playing at the weekly bluegrass jam every Tuesday night at Sam Bond's Garage.
Chuck Holloway settled in Oregon in 1985. Chuck is a multi-instrumentalist and plays the 5 string banjo. He is a former president of the Oregon Bluegrass Association and has played with a plethora of regional bluegrass musicians. Chuck's traditional bluegrass music roots keep the band steeped in a traditional sound. He teaches guitar, mandolin, and 5 string banjo at the John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts in Eugene, OR. Twelve years ago, Chuck founded the weekly Tuesday night bluegrass jam at Sam Bond's Garage, and can be seen playing there weekly.
